Philip Shaibu Honoured as Blueprint Sports Personality of the Year

NIS DG Philip Shaibu says Blueprint award will spur him to do more for Nigerian sports

The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), H.E. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has been honoured as the Sports Personality of the Year by Blueprint Newspaper in recognition of his contributions to sports development and the growth of the Nigerian sports sector.

The prestigious recognition highlights Shaibu’s leadership and ongoing efforts to reposition the National Institute for Sports as a stronger institution for sports training, professional development and capacity building in Nigeria.

Shaibu was represented at the award ceremony by the Institute Librarian, Dr. Omo Atsenokhai, who received the honour on behalf of the NIS Director General and CEO.

Philip Shaibu: Award Will Spur Me to Do More
