Profilled World Homes Football Tournament Debuts in Style as Ellisa Clinch Historic Title

By Arinzechi Chukwunonso

The inaugural edition of the Profilled World Homes Football Tournament wrapped up in thrilling fashion on Sunday, March 29, 2026, after three action-packed days of grassroots football, talent discovery, and entertainment.

From Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29, the tournament brought together eight competitive teams in a vibrant showcase of skill, passion, and emerging talent. At the final whistle, Profilled Ellisa etched their name in history, defeating Profilled Classic 3–1 in a pulsating final to emerge as the first-ever champions.

Earlier in the day, Profilled Extreme secured third place with a dominant 5–1 victory over Profilled Galaxy, capping off a tournament filled with goals and excitement.

A Celebration of Talent and Entertainment
The competition featured eight teams: Profilled Classic, Profilled Royal, Team MD, Profilled Extreme, Profilled Apex, Profilled Galaxy, Profilled Luxury, and Profilled Ellisa — all battling for glory in what proved to be more than just a football tournament.

Adding star power to the event were notable personalities and celebrities, including former Super Eagles midfielder and AFCON winner Sunday Mba, fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi, alongside popular entertainers Brain Jotter, Nedu Wazobia, Chuks D General, Kobo Master, and Shortcut.

Their presence added glamour and further amplified the tournament’s appeal, blending sports with entertainment in a unique way.

“We Wanted to Discover and Promote Talent” — Dr. Egwim

Speaking after the final, the Managing Director of Profilled World Homes, Promise Egwim, expressed satisfaction with the success of the maiden edition.

“I feel so fulfilled because we never knew it was going to come out this beautiful,” he said with excitement.

Dr. Egwim explained that the tournament was conceived as a platform to identify and nurture young football talents.

“We are trying to encourage talents, starting with football.
The idea is to select the best players, promote them, and connect them with clubs and trial opportunities where they can be discovered,” he added.

Bigger Plans Ahead

Buoyed by the success of the inaugural edition, organizers are already looking ahead with ambitious plans to expand the tournament.

Dr. Egwim hinted at hosting future editions in larger venues, potentially moving to standard stadium facilities to accommodate growing interest and participation.

“With this success, we are encouraged to do more. The next edition will definitely be bigger and better. We want to show the world that Nigeria has talents that can excel internationally,” he said.

Words of Encouragement

Addressing the participating teams, Dr. Egwim commended their effort and sportsmanship, urging them to remain dedicated to their dreams.

“They are all good. Just that one team must win. I encourage them to keep working hard and never give up. Luck can shine on them one day.”

A Promising Beginning

The Profilled World Homes Football Tournament has set a strong foundation in its debut year — combining competition, opportunity, and entertainment into a single platform.

With grassroots football gaining renewed attention and support, this tournament could become a vital pipeline for discovering Nigeria’s next generation of football stars.
