In a moment of special reflection, the CP recalled with pride the victory of the Nigeria Police Machine Football Club (Edo Command), who earlier this year successfully defended their title as Champions of the Military and Paramilitary Unity Cup, a significant achievement that added to the Command’s sporting glory.
> “It should be recalled that our football team – the Nigeria Police Machine FC – proudly defended their crown in the Unity Cup this year. Their excellence represents the power of discipline, teamwork, and effective leadership within our ranks.”
All of these remarkable achievements, he emphasized, were made possible under the tactical coordination and expert mentorship of DSP Akogun A. Abimbola, the Command Sports Officer, whom he praised as a pillar of sporting development in the Force.
> “DSP Akogun A. Abimbola’s wealth of experience, his professionalism, and his dedication to mentoring our officers are second to none. A certified Olympic Sports Manager and a graduate of the International Olympic Committee’s Sports Management Institute, his leadership continues to yield outstanding results for our Command.”
The CP assured the sports unit of his continued support and called on all formations to emulate the Edo Command’s culture of sports excellence and mentorship.
